The Best Cartoons Ever

Over the past year, I have seen far too many political cartoons on the editorial pages of newspapers accusing climate scientists of fraud. It amazes me what is allowed to be published without evidence in respected media publications.

However, there are still some great cartoons about climate change, sans libel. Here are two of my favourite, that I haven’t seen featured on any other blogs.

From Lee Judge of Cartoonist Group:

From Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle:

Please comment with your thoughts on these cartoons, and include your favourites! If you would like them embedded directly in the comment (img tags require administrator rights, as Colin Reynolds discovered) include the link and I’ll embed it for you.

  1. Assuming that I’ve understood your comment about embedding images using HTML tags (I suspect it will only work for images that are hosted on the Internet somewhere)… here’s one for you:

  2. I have seen quite a few cartoons over the years but can’t remember any specific one. However whilst doing my occasional browse in a book shop I did come across a whole book of cartoons in the graphic novel section.

It’s called Toxic Planet and drawn by David Ratte. I think it was a series in a French magazine or paper. It’s really about all pollution and environmental matters, but it has a few specifically about global warming. In the series everyone on the planet wears gas masks all the time, even in bed. Here is the publishers blurb:

I think there are 3 volumes now.

  3. I don’t know if href html will work here but if it doesn’t just follow the url to see the great David Horsey cartoon.

Here, I’ll embed it for you. -Kate
