Possible topics for discussion:
- The Arctic sea ice extent is currently tracking below 2007, which had the lowest minimum extent on record (occurs in September).
- Martin Vermeer, a frequent commenter here on ClimateSight, recently published a study in PNAS, along with some of the biggest names in climate science, regarding sea level rise over the past two millennia. Congrats, Martin!
- Australia just passed legislation to implement a carbon tax. Will it be effective, or are there too many loopholes? Will it even survive after the next election?
